How it works
When you upload a .docx or .pptx, the screener hands back your original file marked up: tracked changes and margin comments in Word, slide comments in PowerPoint. It also reads charts and images — figures inside embedded charts are screened, and pictures it cannot read or edit are flagged with comments for manual review. Audience is assumed to be sophisticated private fund investors (qualified purchasers / accredited investors). For best results, keep Word documents under about 50 pages and PowerPoints under about 40 slides; longer materials can be run one section at a time.

What it reviews: business sections only
Business sections only. Before reviewing, the screener scans the document and screens just the business and marketing content — for a PPM that means the executive summary, the sponsor/manager, investment strategy, market opportunity, and track record. Legal and boilerplate sections that counsel handles separately (summary of terms / term sheet, risk factors, conflicts of interest, tax/ERISA, subscription procedures, legal matters) are left out. Short documents with no such sections are reviewed in full. After the review you'll see exactly which sections were read and which were skipped.
Veraz performs an automated first-pass screen against the SEC Marketing Rule for private fund advisers. It is not legal advice and may miss issues or flag non-issues. Final review and approval by qualified counsel is required before any document is used or distributed.
